Microsoft has announced the end of life date for Windows 7 as 14 January 2020.
After 14 January 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates and support for PCs with Windows 7. If you continue to use Windows 7 after support has ended, your PC will still work, but it may become more vulnerable to security risks.
Every product has a lifecycle. It begins when the product is released and ends when the product is no longer supported. These products will continue to work but new security and feature updates will stop. Knowing end of support timelines will help keep your business and employees productive and secure.
There are 2 options; replace your hardware, or upgrade your software.
The best way to experience Windows 10 is on a new PC. Replacing your hardware with a new Windows 10 device means it’ll run faster and cost less to maintain.
Of course, replacing PCs can be costly and sometimes isn’t an option for every business. In which case, there are various upgrade options available.
If you have more than one Windows 7 device in your estate, we can help you upgrade. There are various Windows 10 deployment methods to fit every scenario.
We can provide Windows 10 licenses, help ensure your hardware is compatible and meets specifications, and any software you use daily will continue to work seamlessly after we carry out the upgrade.
Costs depend on your chosen option or path. A full version of Windows 10 can cost up to £219.99, plus the costs of re-installing your software software. A refurbished or new PC can cost between £350-£1500, depending on specification.
